Lavender Plein Air Event – 1 DAY - July 22 & 29th – Black River Ridge, Prince Edward County

Wicker baskets brimming with lavender, baby's breath and smoke tree will be on display to create paintings from at our art school. This one day event will be open to all creative people, young and old. Painters must bring their own art supplies, plein air paint setup. Early birds get access to a spots in the shaded outdoor classroom. 

Indoor/Outdoor Art Classes Experience the fun and the thrill of having an art class on Black River Ridge.  Glorious views of Lake Ontario and the lovely country lane make stunning compositions. OR Choice of still life, working from photos of pets, portraits. Art materials are included at out summer art camp. Indoor and outdoor art work stations provided.

Our vintage caravans are updated, comfortable, full service with power and water and sewage. They all come with kitchens and bathrooms along with indoor dining booths for four. Our Terry Taurus sleeps 4. Our Gypsy Caravan sleeps 2. Our Jayco RV sleeps 2. Outdoor Showers are available.

Black River Ridge barn, near Milford, offers a large open, art event space, high ceiling, 6 skylights, fully equipped art workshop stations. Tremendous inside and outside views of nature and Lake Ontario. Inside you will create art from all angles, experience painting from the loft to experience a bird’s eye view. The barn interior is filled with paintings, acrylic wall hangings, art deco furniture and sculptures on display. 

Tricks & Tips: Through a series of visual and drawing exercises, you will be able to test and improve your art skills. We will cover art fundamentals: line, form, values, composition, patterns and more. You will try pastels, watercolours/gouache, acrylic and oils. Ideal for pre-teens, teenagers and adults interested in a creative future.

Paint portraits in oils, acrylics, pastels & gouache. Working from photos I will teach you how to create and capture your subject accurately, with feeling.
